AlexHost achieves ISO/IEC 27001:2023 certification

AlexHost is officially certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2023 — the international standard for information security management. The certification was issued by TÜV AUSTRIA following an independent audit, and is listed in IAF’s public CertSearch registry.

This is more than a badge on a website. It’s a documented, externally verified commitment to how we handle the data and infrastructure our customers trust us with.

What is ISO/IEC 27001:2023?

ISO/IEC 27001 is the leading international standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS). It defines how an organization should identify, manage, and continuously reduce information security risks — across people, processes, and technology.

The 2023 revision is the current version of the standard, replacing the 2013 edition. It modernizes the control framework to reflect today’s threat landscape, including cloud services, threat intelligence, and data protection requirements aligned with regulations like GDPR.

ISO 27001 is the same framework relied on by banks, governments, and global cloud providers. It’s also the most commonly requested security certification in enterprise vendor procurement.

Continuous accountability

Certification isn’t a one-time event. We’re subject to annual surveillance audits by TÜV AUSTRIA, with a full re-certification audit every three years. The standard has to be maintained, not just claimed. If we fall out of compliance, the certificate can be suspended or withdrawn — publicly, on the same IAF registry that confirms it now.

The certificate was issued by TÜV AUSTRIA, part of one of the most recognized auditing and certification networks in the world. TÜV’s auditors are accredited under the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) — meaning the certificate carries international recognition, not just local validity.

The certification was based on an on-site audit of AlexHost’s information security management system, covering controls across our hosting operations, datacenter infrastructure, and supporting business processes.
