AlexHost is updating pricing for Windows VPS configurations to reflect the requirements of hosting Windows-based environments. This adjustment applies only to Windows; VPS pricing for all other operating systems remains unchanged.

Why is Windows VPS pricing being adjusted?

Windows VPS hosting needs to account for both the operating system and the applications running on it:

• 🖥️ Windows system requirements. The operating system, desktop interface, and background services use memory and storage alongside your applications. Microsoft’s hardware guidance outlines these requirements and notes that actual needs vary by configuration and installed features.
• ⚙️ Capacity for application workloads. Remote desktop sessions, databases, and other Windows applications need resources beyond the operating system’s minimum requirements. Allowing room for these workloads is an important part of planning a Windows VPS environment.
